NEW BOOKS

The Amish of Marigold series by Kathleen Fuller include: The Courtship Plan, The Proposal Plot, and The Marriage Pact. Each of the Inspirational books include discussion questions for book clubs.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer. Nine-year-old Oskar Schell embarks on an urgent, secret mission that will take him through the five boroughs of New York. His goal is to find the lock that matches a mysterious key that belonged to his father, who died in the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11. This seemingly impossible task will bring Oskar into contact with survivors of all sorts of an exhilarating, affecting, often hilarious, and ultimately healing journey. With humor, tenderness, and awe, Jonathan Safran Foer confronts the traumas of our country’s difficult history.

The Homemade God by Rachel Joyce. Wonderfully atmospheric, at heart this is a novel about the bonds of siblinghood—what happens when they splinter, and what it might take to reconnect them.

The Lost Book of First Loves by RaeAnne Thayne. Under the wide-open spaces of the Wyoming summer sun, Ali and June will untangle the secrets and lies their lives were built on to discover who they really are and what family really means. But even more than that, they’ll build a real relationship with one another and finally become sisters.

Not Who We Expected by Lisa Black. Now forensic experts Ellie Carr and Rachael Davies are pulled into solving a deadly mystery unfolding in the shadow of a celebrated rock star.
