JOB DESCRIPTION

Library Clerk (part-time)
We seek a creative, detail-oriented, tech-savvy individual to provide excellent customer service in a busy, evolving library environment. The right person will staff the circulation desk, assisting patrons, supervise, plan and execute programs, shelve materials, repair damaged items, and maintain engaging displays. Previous library experience preferred.
Qualifications: This is an entry-level position. Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Helping library patrons requires intermediate use and troubleshooting of technology, including library-specific software, internet browsers, Microsoft Office programs, and digital devices and apps.
Hours and Pay: 20 – 25 hours per week starting pay of $12-$14 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. The position earns IPERS benefits in accordance with the City of Stuart’s personnel handbook. Also, some holidays and PTO. Schedule may include opening, closing, and Saturday shifts, with occasional off-hours programming needs.
